I am SO excited, I have happy tears!!!
If you've been following along on our Blog, this should come as no surprise. If you haven't, you may be surprised. lol In any case, Dan and I are in agreement to move forward and adopt ANOTHER little girl with Down syndrome in addition to Alyssa!!!
I shared how I believed the Lord was preparing my heart because He has another child in EE with Alyssa for us to adopt. I couldn't help but continue to be in prayer and on the look out for what might be our daughter. Then her picture was posted. I didn't feel an immediate "that's her". I thought about how cute she is and how she resembles a younger Nadia. I went to bed that night praying once again that God would clearly reveal to me the child that He chose for us, if this was her, I'd know. And if it wasn't, I'd know that too. And if there isn't another, my heart would be changed.
I woke the next morning with a heavy burden on my heart for her that only grew greater as the day went on. I still hadn't received her profile so I had to wait to be sure.
Her profile came and she sounded perfect for our family. Honestly, if she was described as hyper, I'd really question if this was the Lord. lol Sorry, but Marni is an "on the go" child and I'm not sure that I'd willingly sign up for another. I'm young but I get tired too. ;)
The burden on my heart for her specifically grew greater but what would Dan say.
He's not a fan of me airing our business so I'll shorten this a bit and say that we operate differently (don't most all married couples?). The process for him was (and usually is) very different. So I continued to pray for discernment and was left waiting on the Lord. Boy, is THAT ever so difficult for me. But today, today we are in agreement to bring this baby girl home. I am ECSTATIC!!
Who is she? She is the beautiful angel recently added to Reeces Rainbow known as "Piper". We will continue to call her Piper on our blog as it seems we will not be changing her real name and due to legality issues, we cannot share it publicly.

Looking forward to adding her picture to our blog and FSP page.
We appreciate your continued prayers for God to allow us and provide for us to bring our precious girls home!
Yay! So cool!!

I am LOVING THIS NEWS!!!!! Congratulations!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you and Piper. When I saw her picture on RR, I felt she would make a wonderful daughter for someone and immediately prayed God would help find her family. I had no idea it would be so quickly. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS on your two new daughters on the way! I also follow RR and hope to start the adoption process soon - Piper also caught my eye, but I am THRILLED that her (your!) family found her so quickly. Can't wait to hear about your journey to her and Abbie!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your prayers for Piper. I hope everyone will pray both princesses all the way home. I can't wait to hug, squeeze and kiss them both!
