We are so grateful the bus comes right to the end of our driveway for pick up and drop off. The ladies on the bus (usually there is a driver AND an aide) are so sweet and very loving towards our girls.
This pic shows Nadia on the wheelchair lift. Once inside the chair, with Nadia in it, is secured into place. The massive belts and straps also secure Nadia into her chair more securely for the ride.
Marni, my wiggle worm runner girl, is strapped in with a five-point harness. This is more for keeping her safely seated than protection in an accident, I guess. I say that because if she would sit nicely, she wouldn't have it. Kind of makes me glad she doesn't, ya know?
The main thing I notice is how DARK it is! I detest, and HATE sending kids off to school in the dark. If someone ever opens a school that runs from 10 - 5 or so, I'm signing everyone up! The best part about homeschooling was normal hours.
