"Fred" and I posing in front of a street-side billboard for the concert we would be attending later that week. :-)
We met more friends for lunch and an afternoon of fun. (Me, Sveta, Michelle and "Fred"). Michelle will probably tell you more about Sveta. She got her drivers liscense last February and bought herself a car. It is quite an adventure driving with her, but she is a wonderful person.
Michelle and I with Victor (Sveta's son) posing on top of a Russian T-64 tank overlooking Kharkiv.
We went to some place that had well water that is claimed to have healing properties. Our friends made sure Michelle went there because they know of her health issues from earlier this year. Drinking this water cures everything, including cancer, according to the signs. :-)
This is Michelle's least favorite mode of transportation in Kharkiv. Well, maybe she likes it better than walking. :-)
We arrived in Sakhnovshina at our friend's home and they had this feast prepared. It was delicious and included the obligatory toasts. :-)
Valek and Luda. They are some of the best people I have met in my life. I love them both dearly.
Our friends for life in Sakhnovshina.
Valek, Luda, Michelle, Myself, Larissa (Yana's teacher), Oksana (Luda's sister), and Dima (Oksana's son)
